Does the boat get very cold?

No. The boat has full central heating throughout.

Are there toilets on board?

Yes. We have 4 cubicles.

Do you have life rafts?

The Golden Salamander is certified by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency. She is licensed to carry 150 passengers and has full life saving equipment for this amount.

Can you cater for vegetarians, vegans & people with food allergies?

Yes, we cater for all dietry requirements as long as we are informed in advance. Please see our menu page.

What happens if we are late getting to the boat?

There is a 15 minute window for both embarking and disembarking at the pier. You will be given a direct number to the boat which you can use should your whole party be delayed.

Can we wait for guests who are running late?

All piers are charged in 15 minute slots.  The first 15 minutes are included in your boat charter rate.  Any additional time at the pier will be charged accordingly and have to be paid on the night; charges may be up to £150.  Please be aware, it is not always possible to extend our time at the pier.

Are children allowed on board?

Yes, however, children must be supervised at all times by a member of your party, particularly on any outside deck.

Is smoking allowed?

Yes, you may smoke on any of the outside decks.

What time will our food be served?

Unless requested at time of booking, your food will be served approximately 45 minutes after departure.

Are there bar snacks available?

No.  All food must be ordered in advance.  There are many different options for you to choose from.  Please see the ‘As you Board’ section on our menu page.
